Meet the maker...
Hi, I'm Meekz, the jeweller / workshop facilitator / photographer / owner behind Meekz Contemporary Jewellery.Ā
I'm a qualified silversmith from The Queensland College of Art - Griffith University South Bank and have been in this industry doing what I love for 16 years.Ā
I love architecture and sculptural art and have a real passion for geometric design and love making wearable art, that transforms the everyday into something unique and beautiful.
Want to learn jewellery making?
Designed for all skill levels, my workshops offer an insight into the life of a jeweller.Ā
From private one-on-one sessions to group classes, corporate team bonding sessions, high school mini-courses, hens parties, birthday parties and art retreats, my workshops aim to encourage creativity, confidence and learning, while highlighting the importance of sustainability.Ā
Inspired to pass on my skills and knowledge, I held my first jewellery-making workshop back in 2015 and since then I have travelled out to regional Australia, interstate and throughout Brisbane.Ā I have worked with several councils, libraries, art galleries, schools and not-for-profit organisations all to bring the joy of silversmithing to everyone.
