PRODUCT & MATERIALS

What metals do you use?

All our jewellery designs are made using recycled, reclaimed, and repurposed metals such as sterling silver, copper, brass, and aluminium. All metals are thoughtfully sourced from local suppliers and salvaged objects.

will my piece look like the one in the photo?

Because each piece is handmade and created from repurposed metals, slight variations may occur—making your piece truly one of a kind.

Is your jewellery suitable for everyday wear?

Yes — each piece is designed to be both sculptural and wearable, balancing artistic form with everyday function.

Are your Earrings Heavy?

Most Meekz earrings are designed to be lightweight and comfortable for everyday wear. 

While they may look bold or sculptural, careful consideration is given to materials and form to ensure they feel easy to wear.

Some statement pieces may have a little more weight, but this is always balanced with comfort in mind. If you’re unsure about a specific design, feel free to get in touch for more details — we’re always happy to help.

What Textures and Stamps 

do you have?

We have seven textures currently and a growing number of stamps available. You can see them, and which size jewellery pieces they will fit onto here.

Do your products contain 

nickel?

Good question! And we have a good answer - all our sterling silver, gold, rose gold and aluminium products are nickel free. All our copper and brass products do contain nickel.  

Do you use sustainable or 

ethical practices?

Yes. Sustainability is at the core of the brand — from metal sourcing to small-batch production and low-waste processes.

SIZING & CUSTOM

Can I request a custom piece?

Absolutely! We love bringing your ideas to life. Whether you have a specific design in mind or need inspiration, we are here to help create a custom piece that reflects your style or personality.

Send us an email via our contact page and let us know your ideas, any inspiration photos or sketches, or key details like size, metal, texture or pattern and jewellery type.

Do custom orders cost more than regular designs?

Custom order pricing is based on design complexity, materials, and labour. We aim to keep costs close to our standard online prices and will provide a quote tailored to your design.

Do you offer clip-on 
earrings?

Absolutely! Simply add a note to your order at checkout specifying that you require clip-ons and any relevant allergy information. Please allow a few additional days for delivery to accommodate this request, i.e. allowing glue to dry.

How do I find my ring size?

You can refer to the sizing guide  or visit the studio for an in-person fitting.

Can jewellery be resized or adjusted?

In many cases, yes — depending on the design and materials. Get in touch to discuss your specific piece.

We’re getting married — what timeframe do you need to make 

our rings?

So exciting. Each band is made to order, so please allow at least 4 weeks (Australia) or 8 weeks (international). If you’re local, you’ll also be invited in for a complimentary studio fitting to make sure everything feels just right. 

Orders placed inside this timeframe aren’t guaranteed to arrive before your wedding day.

CARE & DURABILITY

How do I care for my jewellery?

To keep your piece looking its best:
      - Store it in a dry place, like the box provided
      - Avoid water, perfumes, and harsh        
        chemicals
      - Gently polish when needed 
        (see the Product Care Page for more details)  

Will my jewellery tarnish?

Some metals naturally oxidise over time, especially sterling silver and copper. This is normal and can be cleaned or embraced as part of the piece’s evolving character.

Can I wear my jewellery 

in water?

It’s best to remove jewellery before swimming, showering, or exercising to prolong its life.

ORDERS & SHIPPING

How long will my order 
take?

As pieces are handmade, processing times may vary. Ready-made items ship sooner, while made-to-order pieces may take longer.  

Do you offer shipping 

Australia - wide or internationally?

Yes — shipping options and timeframes are outlined at checkout.

Can I track my order?

Yes, tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

RETURNS & WARRANTY

Do you accept refunds or exchanges?

Refunds are accepted in line with the refund policy. Due to the handmade nature and for hygiene reasons, some items may be excluded.

What if my jewellery is 

damaged?

If your piece arrives damaged or develops a fault, please get in touch. Repairs may be offered depending on the situation.

Do your pieces come with a warranty?

Yes — all jewellery pieces come with a 12-month warranty to cover against faults in the manufacture of the product. This does not cover the general everyday wear and tear of the pieces.  

Some pieces are designed to show off the scratch marks and dints in the metals - this is a feature of the product and in no way a fault.

gifting

I'm sending this as a gift 
- can you not include the receipt?

Don't worry, we never send invoices/receipts with our packages. You should have received an email with the order confirmation/invoice details. If you didn't get this please let us know and we can resend it.

Do you do gift wrapping?

We don't sorry, but all our pieces come in a gorgeous little recycled kraft box that is perfect for gifting.

Can I include a note?

You sure can! We can handwrite it on a little Meekz postcard. Simply add a note to your order at checkout specifying what you would like us to write. 

WORKSHOPS

Do I need experience to 
attend a workshop?

No experience is needed — workshops are designed for all skill levels.

What’s included in the 

workshop?

All tools, materials, and guidance are provided. You’ll leave with a finished piece you’ve made yourself.

What should I bring?

Just yourself! Closed-in shoes are recommended for safety, and if you wear glasses, please bring them to help see fine details.

How many people are in each workshop?

Workshops are kept small to ensure a supportive, hands-on experience.

Can I book a private group or event?

Yes — private bookings are available for groups, celebrations, and team experiences.

What happens if I need to 

cancel or reschedule?

Please refer to the workshop booking policy for details on cancellations and changes.

Where is your jewellery 
made?

All pieces are designed and handcrafted in Lutwyche, Brisbane, by Jemica Ostrofski.

Can I visit your studio?

Yes — studio visits are available by appointment.
