Yellow Tiger Moth Studs
Inspired by the Yellow Tiger Moth (Agape chloropyga), a day-flying moth found across eastern Australia. Its bright yellow wings and five orange spots on each forewing make it easy to recognise, while its bold colouring helps warn predators to keep their distance.
These studs feature the moth's distinctive yellow wings and orange spots, recreated in a simple design that brings a little Australian wildlife into your everyday jewellery.
Measuring approximately 15mm tall, they're a great option if you like your earrings to have a bit of character without being too large.
Made from recycled brass, with sterling silver posts and hand-painted details, these Yellow Tiger Moth studs are handcrafted to celebrate the small details that make our native insects so interesting.

Here are some ways to keep your Yellow Tiger Moth Studs in great condition!
- Hold your earrings by the edges or the posts especially when putting them on and off.
- Try to not touch the front of the earrings if you can. The flat unstamped surfaces can become marked and scratched over time.
- Avoid getting them wet. It's best to avoid wearing your earrings in heavy rain or in the shower, as the brass and sterling silver can discolour, and the paint pen can dull over time.
- Keeping them clean... avoid using alcohol based products on your earrings. Use a microfiber cloth to polish them. The brass has been left to naturally age, so it will turn a darker golden yellow over time. Should you wish to have them re-polished, just contact me, and I can arrange this service.
