Metal-Smithing workshop for year 11 and 12s at Moreton Bay College

Meekz’s has been running an introduction to metal-smithing jewellery workshop for our students at Moreton Bay College for some year now and the experience is always fantastic. Jemica tailors the experience to suit each student's abilities and needs which is so helpful in the classroom with varying skill levels. The provision of tools, materials, and clear instructions creates an environment conducive to learning. What sets this workshop apart is the thoughtful design – not only did we craft beautiful jewellery during the session, but the provided instructions were structured in a way that allowed for continued exploration and practice in the classroom later on. Jemica’s personable and engaging approach adds immense value to the overall experience. She fosters a supportive atmosphere, encouraging questions and collaboration among participants. This makes the learning process enjoyable and accessible. Overall, the introduction to metal-smithing workshop strikes an excellent balance between guidance and creative freedom. It's an enriching experience for anyone interested in jewellery-making, offering a solid foundation for beginners and opportunities for advancement for those with prior knowledge. I highly recommend it for both its educational value and the joy of crafting beautiful, personalized pieces.

    Thanks for everything Jemica!
