Ulysses Butterfly Brooch Pin

Introducing the Ulysses Butterfly Brooch Pin, inspired by the stunning Papilio ulysses - one of Australia's most iconic and largest butterflies, native to eastern Australia. Known for its striking iridescent blue wings and rich golden sheen, this brooch captures the beauty of these magnificent insects.

This statement brooch pin features 3-dimensional bent wings that catch the light beautifully.

Measuring approximately 50mm tall and 45mm wide, this pin is the perfect size to make an impact without overwhelming your outfit.

Made from recycled and oxidised copper, sterling silver, and durable iridescent blue car vinyl, this piece is built to last.

Jewellery Care:

Here are some ways to keep your Ulysses Butterfly in great condition!

- Hold your butterfly by the back of the wings or pin, especially when putting it on and off.

- Try not to touch the vinyl or patina if you can.  The butterfly's wings are wrapped in car vinyl, which is considered to be highly durable and scratch-resistant, however, it could still be marked.  The butterfly's body and wings have a black patina, which can wear off if rubbed or cleaned.

- Avoid getting it wet.  It's best to avoid wearing your brooch pin in the rain as the copper and sterling silver pin can discolour.

- Keeping it clean... avoid using alcohol based products on your brooch pin.  Use a microfiber cloth or soft cloth.  The copper body has been oxidised (a black patina added to the surface).  This can rub off overtime so cleaning should be kept to a minimum to prolong its longevity.  Should you wish to have them re-oxidised if the patina has worn away, just contact me, and I can arrange this service.

- Store safely.  All Meekz Contemporary Jewellery come in a gift box, which will keep your brooch pin clean and protected.
