Mistletoe Moth Studs
Inspired by the Mistletoe Moth (Comocrus behri), a day-flying moth found in forests and woodlands across mainland Australia. Its black wings and bold white stripes make it easy to recognise among Australia's native insects.
These 15mm tall studs feature the moth's distinctive zigzag markings, hand-painted in white over oxidised copper for a bold black-and-white finish.
Small enough for everyday wear but full of character, they're a great choice for anyone who loves insects, Australian wildlife or jewellery with a story behind it.

Here are some ways to keep your Mistletoe Moth Studs in great condition!
- Hold your earrings by the edges or the posts especially when putting them on and off.
- Try to not touch the front of the earrings if you can. The flat unstamped surfaces can become marked and scratched over time.
- Avoid getting them wet. It's best to avoid wearing your earrings in heavy rain or in the shower, as the copper and sterling silver can discolour, and the paint pen can dull over time.
- Keeping them clean... avoid using alcohol based products on your earrings. Each copper wing has been oxidised (a black patina added to the surface). This can rub off overtime so cleaning should be kept to a minimum to prolong their longevity. Should you wish to have them re-oxidised if the patina has worn away, just contact me and I can arrange this service.
